About Asia Pacific Future100
“Future100” is an inspirational project that seeks to recognize,
acknowledge and promote promising young entrepreneurs and social
Changemakers from Asia.
Young people in Asia lack role models from their societies with
which they can identify themselves. Well known entrepreneurs are
either from abroad or to old to relate to them and their success.
Asian youth needs role models which are from their countries and
in similar age to them to inspire and ignite the entrepreneurial
spark in them.
On the other hand young entrepreneurs and social Changemakers
hardly ever make their headlines despite their tremendous social
and economic contribution.
The Solution
The “Asia Pacific Future 100” project is a platform to provide
young and inspirational role models from Asia to our youth to
raise entrepreneurship awareness in Asia Pacific. 100 young entrepreneurs
and social Changemakers under the age of 30 years will be selected
and their stories will serve as inspiration to start-ups and aspirant
young entrepreneurs.
Asia Pacific Future 100 fellows includes young people under the
age of 30 who are an entrepreneurial inspiration to other young
people.
Future 100 members are successful young entrepreneurs who dared
to stride out by setting up their own business, social enterprise
or NGO. They have overcome challenges by realizing their vision
and believing in themselves.
We will have two categories for the awards: commercial entrepreneurship
and social Changemakers.
• Commercial entrepreneurship includes individuals who set up
a business in any field of commerce, with the main objective of
achieving profit returns.
• Social Changemakers are individuals who have set up a business,
social enterprise, NGO or who have started an informal sustainable
project with the sole objective of achieving social returns.
